Rescue services had searched waters at a beauty spot in Llanbedr near Harlech after the pair ventured into a waterfall and were reported missing. The pair, thought to be a 33-year-old father and his daughter who were on holiday at a nearby campsite, had been reported missing earlier on Saturday.
The fire service later confirmed the bodies had been found. Rescue teams later recovered two bodies from a pool beneath the waterfall at a beauty spot in Llanbedr near Harlech.

Fire service search teams, a police helicopter, ambulance crews and two trained divers launched a major search operation after police received a call reporting that a man and a child had fallen 50 feet from a waterfall into a pool below.
Alan Edwards, fire service community safety manager, said: "At 17.56 two bodies were recovered from the river.
"This tragic incident highlights the dangers of swimming in unknown waters and venturing in the locality of any unknown waters.
"We would ask everybody to take extra care when near water."
A full investigation will be carried out on Sunday by the police and fire service.
