A train has struck a car on a level crossing in Gwynedd, say British Transport Police. A woman has died after a train struck a car on a level crossing in Gwynedd.
The incident happened on the Cambrian Coast railway line at Penrhyndeudraeth on a minor road which accesses farmland. The collision happened on the Cambrian Coast Railway at Penrhyndeudraeth near Porthmadog, on a minor road which accesses farmland.
Officers were called to the scene at 1146 BST on Wednesday. Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene shortly before noon.
Two fire crews have been called to the scene from Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Network Rail said the train involved was not carrying passengers, but was a test train. It was travelling from the Porthmadog direction.
