Eight children have been taken to hospital after a car ploughed into a group of youngsters in Suffolk. Eight children have been taken to hospital after a car ploughed into a group of nine-year-olds in Suffolk.
Six ambulances, four fire engines and the air ambulance helicopter were called to the scene at All Saints Church in Lowestoft Road, Worlingham. The 20-strong group were pupils from Worlingham Middle School taking part in a walk round the local area.

The East of England Ambulance Service said some of the casualties were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in Norwich, Norfolk. A 21-year-old man, who was on his way to the funeral of a friend killed in a car accident, was also hurt.
Other casualties were taken to James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Head teacher Mike Croft said the youngsters were being introduced to the local area by a teacher and an assistant when the Nissan car struck the group shortly before 1400 BST.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place. He said: "You could not think of anything worse than finding children like that. It's not a day I want to repeat.
"When I got there, there was mayhem. It looked awful.
"Parents were informed as quickly as possible. Counsellors were called to the scene and subsequently attended the school."
Andreas Djiakouris, who supervised the paramedics, said: "Every single one of our crews who were at the scene had their hands full from the minute they got there to the minute they left."
An ambulance service spokeswoman said four people, including the injured man, were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Three "critically injured" children were taken to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, Norfolk. Two other children are being treated at a hospital in Beccles.
The spokeswoman added one girl was thought to have a broken pelvis.
