A man and a woman have gone on trial accused of carjacking a mother who was left fighting for her life after being dragged along under her vehicle. A mother was run over and dragged up to 65ft (20m) by her own car after a laughing thief leapt behind the wheel and drove off, a court has heard.

Richardson, formally of Chalvey Road East, Slough, has already pleaded guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm, one count of aggravated vehicle-taking and one count of dangerous driving. Prosecuting, Charles Ward-Jackson said that when Ms Johnson, who had been preparing to take her son to school, asked them to get out of the car they laughed at her.
'Revved engine'
Ms Johnson, who is still in a wheelchair recovering from her injuries, remained in hospital for two months following the incident on 2 December.
The court heard that Mr Richardson and Ms Napper, spotted the vehicle with its key in the ignition.
Mr Richardson jumped into the car, revved the engine and sped forwards, leaving Ms Johnson lying on the road in a "critical" condition, the court was told.
Mr Richardson, formally of Chalvey Road East, Slough, has already pleaded guilty to one count of grievous bodily harm, one count of aggravated vehicle-taking and one count of dangerous driving.
