Results are coming in from local elections being held across parts of England. Reform UK has picked up control of three councils as well winning the Runcorn and Helsby by-election. The victory over Labour was clinched by just six votes after a lengthy recount.

Andrea Jenkyns also picked up the mayoralty of Greater Lincolnshire for Reform, having won with more than 40% of the vote. The mayoralty of Greater Lincolnshire also went to Reform.
Labour has retained three of its existing mayoralties, with Reform coming second in all of them. In both Doncaster and North Tyneside, Labour's majority was less than 1,000. The Conservatives have won the race for mayor in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from Labour.

Most council areas are still counting their results but Reform has taken Lincolnshire and Staffordshire from the Conservatives and has taken control of Durham. Northumberland remains under no overall control after no single party won enough seats for a majority. The Liberal Democrats and Greens are also making gains overall, with most of the losses falling to the Conservatives and to Labour.
