"Jaroslaw's injuries were among the worst I have ever seen in the 25 years I have been a police officer."
He added: "The revulsion felt by the local community was reflected in the level of co-operation we received and the information we obtained from people in the Tillydrone area assisted us enormously in bringing these two men to justice."
