A bridge overpass collapsed onto train tracks in Russia’s Bryansk region, derailing a Moscow-bound passenger train on Saturday evening. At least seven people were killed and 69 others injured, according to officials, who are already treating the incident as a deliberate act of sabotage.  A bridge overpass has collapsed onto train tracks in Russia’s Bryansk Region, causing a derailment which killed seven people and injured 71 others.
“A bridge on a highway was blown up as a train with 388 passengers was moving under it,” Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz told the television channel Russia 24 on Sunday morning. Russia's Investigative Committee has said that the bridge was blown up deliberately, confirming an earlier statement by Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
First responders continue to rescue people from the wreckage. Russian Senator Andrey Klishas and the governors of several Russian regions have accused Ukraine of being behind the derailment.
