Part of southern Germany's Munich airport has been closed down after explosive traces were found on a laptop, police told media. Part of southern Germany's Munich airport has been closed down after a traveller fled when his laptop was submitted to an explosives test.
The owner of the laptop fled into a secured area after the laptop tested positive for explosives, and a search was launched for him. Terminal 2 was sealed off as a search was mounted for the man who fled into a secured area, police said.
Initial reports said explosive traces had actually been found but later accounts could not confirm this.

The security breach reportedly happened shortly after 1500 (1400 GMT). Munich airport, situated about 30km (20m) north-east of the city, is the second busiest airport in Germany.
