On Tuesday, the jury was shown the video made of the murder scene in Howard's Way.
First the camera showed domestic clutter downstairs, ranging from a dog's bowl, a supermarket carrier bag and a soft toy.
Then the video switched upstairs to show Mrs Marsh's body, with the kitchen knife still still sticking out of her chest, lying next to her blood-stained bed.
The trial also heard from three police officers, who were called to the house in the aftermath of her death.
They said that Mr Marsh was visibly upset, looking very pale with bloodshot eyes.
He had told them, if only he had come home last night then it would never have happened.
