A man has died following an incident in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of the morning. The death of a 24-year-old man in Glasgow city centre in the early hours of the morning is being treated as murder, police have said.
Police said the death, which on Commerce Street close to a bridge over the River Clyde at about 0100 GMT, was being treated as suspicious. Police are studying CCTV images of the area around Commerce Street, close to a bridge over the River Clyde where the incident happened.
Inquiries were said to be at a very early stage. A post-mortem examination was carried out earlier but detectives have so far declined to say how the man died.
Detectives said a post-mortem examination was being held in to the death of the man, who was thought to be in his 20s. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
