A businessman found with knife wounds has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was discovered stabbed to death at his Cheshire home. A businessman who has twice been cleared of murder is in hospital under arrest after a man was found stabbed to death at his Cheshire mansion.
Arran Coghlan, who is currently under police guard in hospital, was detained late on Tuesday. Arran Coghlan was discovered with knife wounds at his Alderley Edge home on Tuesday afternoon. The body of Stephen Akinyemi was found in the bathroom.
The victim, Stephen Akinyemi, of Cheetham Hill in Manchester, is believed to have known Mr Coghlan. Mr Akinyemi, of Cheetham Hill, Manchester, is thought to have known Mr Coghlan, who was taken to hospital.
Mr Coghlan, 39, is currently being treated there under police guard.
Officers made the discoveries after neighbours heard a loud disturbance at about 1400 GMT on Tuesday.
Mr Coghlan's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
He is under arrest on suspicion of murder.

Mr Coghlan's home on Brook Lane - a street lined with multi-million pound properties - has been cordoned off for forensic examination.
In 1994 he was cleared of murdering Stockport's "Mr Big" Chris Little, a well-known gangland boss.
He was shot dead at the wheel of his Mercedes in Marple in July 1994.
In 2001 Mr Coghlan was arrested on suspicion of murdering drug dealer David Barnshaw, known as the "body in the boot" case.
He had been kidnapped and forced to drink petrol before being burned alive in the back of his own car on an industrial estate in Stockport.
However, the case against Mr Coghlan and others collapsed in 2003 when it was revealed that police had failed to pass on important information about another possible suspect.
