Two women have been killed in a school bus crash in Cheshire. A woman in her 70s and her daughter believed to be in her 50s have died after being in collision with a bus carrying schoolchildren in Cheshire.
The bus was carrying school children along Mobberly Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, when it collided with the two women, police said. The two women were thought to have been crossing Mobberley Road in Knutsford in company with another family member, Cheshire Police said.
An elderly woman and a middle-aged woman were involved in the accident, which happened around 0845 GMT. No one on the bus was hurt. The single decker bus was carrying about 12 passengers who were all unhurt in the accident.
The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours while police investigate. The road has been closed while police investigate. Diversions are set up.
