Safety review
David Lund, director of children's services at Blackpool Council, said: "No other pupils were involved when Brandon very sadly sustained a fatal head injury.
"He passed away later in the afternoon at Victoria hospital and our sympathy and thoughts are with family and friends at this very sad time.
"We are working closely with the school community, particularly classmates.
"Over the next week our health and safety officers will be reviewing what exactly happened."
