Nick Clegg says that, if there is a "balanced" Parliament after the election, the party with the "moral mandate" to govern will be that chosen by most voters. If the Lib Dems have any role in government, they will focus on tax reforms, cleaning up politics, education and health, Mr Clegg adds. Any offer of electoral reform from the likes of Lord Mandelson is like being offered a deal by "Del Boy", the star of the BBC comedy Only Fools and Horses, he says. With that, the Lib Dem leader departs the studio - avoiding peers in rickety three-wheel vans, one supposes. | |
