Conservative candidate Justine Greening has laid the blame for the rise of the BNP squarely at Labour's door. Speaking to the HREF="http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/politics/article-23824002-labour-is-to-blame-for-the-rise-of-the-far-right-bnp.do" ID="9999" STYLE="LINK_Inline">London Evening Standard, she said the BNP had gained seats "exclusively in core Labour areas". She continued: "When Labour came to power there were hardly any BNP councillors around the country.
