I've had it confirmed that Alistair Campbell has been playing the role of David Cameron in Gordon Brown's preparations for tomorrow's TV debate. He would probably be more convincing as Gene Hunt if Philip Glenister ever throws in the towel! Leader of the British National Party Nick Griffin says "large numbers of Muslim people" should leave the UK and go back, as he puts it, to their "countries of origin". He's also told the BBC that "we should be out of the Islamic world", and should immediately withdraw UK troops from Afghanistan and pull out of Nato. If Mr Griffin had his way, the UK would also cancel its entire foreign aid budget.
