The two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of the teenager and attempted murder of his parents.

Det Ch Supt McKenzie, the senior investigating officer in the case, said that despite the arrests the murder inquiry team were "still very much appealing for information" which could be a "vital cog" in the investigation.

Det Ch Supt McKenzie, the senior investigating officer in the case, said that despite the arrests the murder inquiry team were "still very much appealing for information". The arrests followed reports that men matching the description of two men seen fleeing the scene had visited a shop in Cathays, in Cardiff.
He said: I would urge anyone who has information of the tragic death of Aamir to contact the incident room at Cardiff Central police station." CCTV footage was recovered from the shop and two men believed to be those individuals were later arrested.
Det Ch Supt McKenzie said it was believed a knife was used in the attack, but no weapon had yet been found.
