Chicago police have charged a man and a woman over a baseball bat attack which left a County Armagh student critically injured. A man suspected of attacking a County Armagh student with a baseball bat and leaving her in a critical condition has been refused bail by a Chicago court.
Heriberto Viramontes, 31, said nothing during the appearance, a day after he was charged with aggravated battery and armed robbery.
His co-accused Marcy Cruz, 25, will make her bail request on Thursday.
