  1. 2015: Conservative leader David Cameron has been setting out more detail of his thinking about a deal with the Lib Dems in an email to party supporters. He says he will stand firm on not giving more powers to Europe, or be weak on immigration or defence. Areas of common ground are "education reform, building a low-carbon economy, reforming our political system, decentralising power, protecting civil liberties and scrapping ID cards".
