Ms Turner, who worked as a volunteer at the church in Anderston, said the last time she saw Miss Kluk she was in the church kitchen making a cup of tea for herself and the accused.
The witness told the court that as she left the church that day she saw Angelika helping Mr Tobin to cut insulation tape.
The following day Ms Turner said she encountered the accused again in the church sitting at a table with a cup of tea.
Repeatedly struck
The court heard how Mr Tobin was heard to say of Angelika that he "missed his apprentice".
Ms Turner said the day following Angelika's disappearance: "There was just a lot of atmosphere about."
It has been alleged that Mr Tobin attacked Angelika, raped her, battered her and repeatedly struck her with a knife.
It has been further alleged that he then hid the body under the floor of the church in an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.
Mr Tobin has denied those charges and a charge of giving false personal details.
In a special defence read to the jury, Mr Tobin has admitted having sex with the Polish student, with her consent.
The trial continues.
