| Wy can't we have a holiday in the autumn too. We are already the hardest working country in Western Europe by hour but with the fewest holidays. MIght help productivity by destressing people in the long cold dark months. Plus - as people tend to add holidays around it it might help the tourism industry and synchronise workers holidays and so synchronise production better. | |

| The May Day bank holiday is one of the busiest in the year in the bar trade, even considering removing it from our calender is an absolute joke and will cost my industry millions! | |

| Isn't May Day a traditional holiday? Being May Day and all? Go to any village and that's when the fairs and fetes are around.Why not change the one at the end of May? Or does this not fit with the Coalition's plans? | |
