The 35-year-old man was shot in the neck by a man with a sawn-off shotgun. It is thought two shots were fired. The man was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital. Local Sinn Fein councillor Stephen Magennis said local residents told him that when the gunmen could not gain access to the house, they fired shots through the door at the man. The father of the man who was shot said they had just finished dinner when it happened.
"I heard the bang and then he was lying on the living room floor," he said.
