Police appeal over missing woman Missing woman 'associate' appeal

Police have appealed for information following the disappearance of a young woman in Glasgow. A teenage "associate" of a missing woman has been asked to contact police as a matter of urgency.
The "out of character" disappearance of 22-year-old Tracey Gillan of Crow Road, Anniesland, was reported to Strathclyde Police on Monday. Tracey Gillan, 22, was reported missing on Monday. She has worked as a prostitute in Glasgow.
Ms Gillan, who is known to work as a prostitute, usually frequents the Haghill area of Glasgow, where she has lived in the past. Police said they were anxious to speak to Ibrahim Lala, 19, from Crow Road, Anniesland. Officers said he was also known as Alex Peka.
A police spokeswoman said: "He may have vital information as to Tracey's whereabouts."
Ch Insp Anne Callander said: "We are keen to speak to Mr Lala at the earliest opportunity, as he may be able to assist us in finding Tracey."
Police said that in the past year she had "frequented the Crow Road and Haghill area, where she lived earlier this year".

Police said they were still trying to establish exactly when she was last seen by family and friends. Ms Gillan has family in London, but has not contacted them since she was reported missing and they are growing increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.
