Arriva Trains Wales has suspended services linking Pontypridd with Treherbert, Merthyr and Aberdare due to flooding at Trehafod and at Abercynon South. With one flood warning currently in place for the Lower Dee Valley, there are 16 flood alerts across Wales.
A replacement bus service is also running between Barry and Bridgend train stations because of flooding. Environment Agency Wales had issued 30 flood alerts for rivers and other locations across Wales, but has now reduced the number to 16 alerts, mainly in south and mid Wales, plus the River Dee.
