The operation is being co-ordinated by Dyfed-Powys Police, which said its own officers - including a police search adviser and specialist search officers - were involved alongside 12 volunteers from Brecon Mountain Rescue Service. "What we know is that a 34-year-old man who was the guide on a survival weekend trip has failed to return to camp and his fellow campers have reported him missing," said Insp Reed.
"Conditions for the search are much better today, it's dry and there's plenty of sunshine.
"Teams will now carry out systematic checks around the mountain to try and locate the missing walker."
