A young child has been knocked down by a car in Dundonald. An 18-month-old boy is critically ill in hospital after he was knocked down by a car in Dundonald on the outskirts of east Belfast.
The incident happened on the Comber Road shortly after 16: 00 GMT on Saturday. The condition of the child is not yet known. It happened on the Comber Road shortly after 16: 00 GMT on Saturday.
Police are at the scene and diversions are in place at the junctions of the Comber Road, East Link Road and the Grahamsbridge Road. The toddler was initially taken to the nearby Ulster Hospital in Dundonald by ambulance.
There are no further details. However, he has since been transferred to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital. The boy is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
