A 31-year-old man has been arrested after a two-year-old boy was critically injured in a car crash in Dundonald, on the outskirts of east Belfast. | |
It is believed that an empty, parked car rolled into a woman and a buggy carrying the boy on the Comber Road shortly before 16:00 GMT on Saturday. | |
The woman was treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening but the boy remains critically ill. | |
The arrested man has been released on bail pending further inquiries. | |
The injured toddler was initially taken to the nearby Ulster Hospital in Dundonald by ambulance. | |
However, he was transferred to the intensive care unit of Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital on Saturday night. |
