The bodies were found at a home on Miranda Close in Frankley shortly before 10:00 GMT. The couple, understood to be aged in their 30s, were found in a bedroom on Miranda Close in Frankley at about 10:00 GMT.
Ambulance staff had been told a man and woman were unconscious in the property, but the pair were pronounced dead at the scene. Police were alerted by the ambulance service after concerns were raised when a man and woman were found unconscious.

Det Ch Insp Wayne Jones, who is working on the inquiry, said: "There is no obvious sign of major trauma and we await the outcome of the post-mortem to determine the cause of death."
