More than 100 rescuers have been involved in the search for the party - understood to be from Leeds - which was launched on Sunday night as they were overdue. Mountain rescue teams from Cairngorm, Dundonnell, RAF Leuchars, RAF Lossiemouth and Braemar are involved. The five walkers were landed at Rothiemurchus near Aviemore and driven away in an ambulance.
An RAF Lossiemouth helicopter and search and rescue dogs were also there. It is not yet clear what has happened to the sixth member of the party.
