Five missing hillwalkers who sparked a major search in the Cairngorms have been flown off the mountains. One walker has been found dead after five companions were airlifted to safety from the Cairngorms.

It is not yet clear what has happened to the sixth member of the party. An RAF Lossiemouth helicopter and search and rescue dogs were involved in the operation.
