Sniffer dogs have been sent into a house converted into flats which collapsed in Cornwall after a landslip caused by torrential overnight rain. Rescue teams are searching for a woman believed to be trapped inside a house which collapsed in a landslip in Cornwall.
Emergency crews were called to Veronica Flats at Sandplace Road, Looe, just before 06:00 GMT. The building, which is converted into flats, collapsed just before 06:00 GMT following torrential rain.

Six properties have been evacuated while engineers assess the stability of the buildings and the ground. Dave King from the fire service said: "Early investigations suggest that she is in there."
"About 15 people from homes nearby have been evacuated as a precaution," a police spokesman said. Mr King, of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, said sniffer dogs and thermal equipment had been used.
He said Ms Norman had not been seen since 18:00 GMT on Thursday and added that police teams were using geothermal equipment to search the property. Firefighters had entered the building after it was made "structurally sound" at about 13:15 GMT to continue the search.

The council's wet weather operation has moved into a "recovery phase", with the Met Office saying the worst of the weather is moving away from Cornwall. Some of Ms Norman's neighbours said they had been shocked by the landslip but had previously raised concerns about subsidence in the area.
