A 75-year-old man has been stabbed to death near a school in Birmingham.A 75-year-old man has been stabbed to death near a school in Birmingham.
He was found in Little Green Lane, Small Heath, near to Wyndcliffe Primary School at 22:30 BST on Monday. He then died in hospital. Mohammed Saleem Chaudhry was found near to Wyndcliffe Primary School, Little Green Lane, Small Heath, at 22:30 BST on Monday.
The school, which is within a cordoned off area, was shut on Tuesday. Police urged drivers and pedestrians to avoid Little Green Lane and surrounding roads in Small Heath. He died later in hospital. West Midlands Police said post-mortem tests would be carried out later.
Post-mortem tests are expected to be carried out later. His daughter, Shazia Khan, said: "We're just so shocked for him to lose his life in such a brutal way. He [was] such a lovely man..."
