A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl and their parents - a 36-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman - were not seriously hurt, police said. Nigel Gresham, 36, and his partner Sara Bolland, 31, were not seriously hurt, along with their 12-year-old son Liam and 13-year-old daughter Star.
Police said some people tried to rescue the car's occupants from the river. Mr Gresham and Ms Bolland are the parents of all seven children involved in the accident and the family have always lived locally, police said.
