Selly Oak stabbing: Man arrested on suspicion of murder Rapper Depzman stabbed dead after Kyle Sheehan tribute

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old in Birmingham. An 18-year-old rapper has been stabbed to death after attending a tribute night to another knife murder victim.
The man, also 18, was held after attending a police station in Dudley at 11:45 BST. The musician, named locally as Joshua Ribera but who used the stage name Depzman, died in hospital after being stabbed outside TC's club in Selly Oak, Birmingham, on Friday night.
Police were called to Coronation Road, Selly Oak, shortly before 23:00 on Friday. He had been attending a fundraising event in memory of Kyle Sheehan, 16, who was killed a year ago.
The victim, named locally as Josh Ribera, had been attending a fundraiser for Kyle Sheehan, who died after he was stabbed last year. An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Mr Ribera's murder.
Police said the motive for the attack is unclear. Mr Ribera had earlier been at TC's nightclub on Coronation Road, where the fundraiser for Mr Sheehan was held. 'Talented MC'
An area of Coronation Road was cordoned off as police examined the scene. Tributes have been paid to Mr Ribera by other rappers including Frisco who described the death as "sad".
A Facebook tribute page for Mr Ribera, who was a rap performer with the stage name Depzman, has attracted nearly 30,000 'likes'. Meanwhile Wretch 32 said Depzman was "a young, talented MC".
One friend wrote on the page: "Resting up there, bet he's looking down at each of his fans and looking back at the amazing life he had, he was about to make it to the top of the tops." The stabbing happened in Coronation Road shortly before 23:00 BST on Friday.
Another wrote: "R.I.P Depzman. Forever gone and never forgotten! There will always be a place in my heart for you and my music, stay strong fans and make him proud. Your in a better place now man I'm looking up at you". Mr Ribera was taken to hospital where he died in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police said a post-mortem examination was due to take place. At 11:45 a man attended a police station in Dudley and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The attack came after an event in memory of Kyle Sheehan who was stabbed in the leg in the Bartley Green area of Birmingham on 21 September 2012.
He died from the injury. No-one has been charged with his killing.
