A spokeswoman for the force, which recently secured a European arrest warrant for Mr Bures who is featured on the Crimestoppers UK Most Wanted website, said: "Following an appeal put out for the whereabouts of a white van, whose owner Paul Bures is wanted by police for sexual offences against children, at 11.30pm last night a 53-year-old man handed himself in at Canterbury police station in Kent." A spokeswoman for the Northumbria force said they had recently secured a European arrest warrant for Mr Bures, who they believed may have been in the Hampshire, Dorset or Kent areas.
