The pair were discovered by officers just before 01:00 GMT on Saturday in Montague Road, Leytonstone. They were pronounced dead at the scene. | |
Police said the men had been set upon in a "ferocious attack" by a group of hooded attackers armed with knives as they sat in a black Ford Fiesta. | |
Post-mortem examinations found Aaron Carriere was stabbed in the neck while Josiah Manful died from stab wounds to the chest, shock and haemorrhaging. | |
Witnesses told officers that a group of five people began "attacking the car quite ferociously from both sides", after it had driven into Montague Road. | |
