Reports of a gunman at a snooker club have led to an area of a town centre in Nottinghamshire being cordoned off. A man has been arrested after a 10-hour armed siege at a snooker hall in Nottinghamshire.
Officers were called to the Spot On Snooker Club on Vine Terrace in Hucknall at about 14:40 GMT after a man was said to be "acting suspiciously". Police spent hours negotiating with the man who was in the Spot On Snooker Club in Hucknall before entering the club at about 00:40 GMT and arresting him.

A man claiming to be the gunman told reporters who called the club: "It's none of your business why I'm here." A 20-year-old was detained on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, police said.
He was being questioned in custody, they added.
Officers had first been called to the building in Vine Street at about 14:40 GMT over reports of a man said to be "acting suspiciously".

Police asked people to remain indoors and avoid the area. After the arrest Nottinghamshire Police said Vine Terrace and High Street would be reopened and residents allowed to return home but a cordon would remain at the snooker hall while officers examined the scene.
