(35 minutes later)
Police believed they have identified a man who stabbed a woman to death at her Glasgow home and have linked the suspect to an earlier stabbing attack. Police believe they know the identity of a man who carried out two failed car jackings which saw one woman stabbed to death and a man wounded in the street.
Isabelle Sanders, 51, was stabbed at her home in Crookston, Glasgow, early on Wednesday. He partner Norman Busby, 85, was also stabbed but survived. Police believe the suspect also stabbed a man in an earlier failed car jacking attack outside a nearby Spar store. Police believe the suspect earlier stabbed another man, and both incidents may have been attempted car jackings.

Ms Sanders was murdered at her home in Raeswood Drive at about 01:55 on Wednesday.
Det Supt Jim Kerr, from Police Scotland, said the stabbing was being linked to an earlier attack which took place at 23:15 on Tuesday.
"We are now linking this event with a robbery at the Spar shop in Braehead Road in Crookston that occurred two-and-a-half hours earlier," he said.
'Desperate act'
"A similarly described man, armed with a weapon, threatened a 33-year-old driver of a BMW motor vehicle and demanded the keys to steal that vehicle.
"That person was last seen running off towards Househill Park behind the Spar shop."
Det Supt Kerr said the failed car jacking incident was about 700 yards from Ms Sanders' home in Crookston.
He described the incidents as "an act of desperation" and said he now believed they were linked.
Police believe they have identified Ms Sanders' killer and are following a "definite line of inquiry".
The force has not confirmed if the arrest of a 19-year-old man on Thursday was linked to the incidents.
Police also revealed that they had taken a Vauxhall Astra, which was one of two cars owned by Ms Sanders and Mr Busby, from the scene and were examining it in detail.
Serious injuries
They said Mr Busby suffered similar injuries to his partner and that but for the expertise of staff at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, they may have been investigating a double murder.
Earlier, a neighbour of Ms Sanders told the BBC how he ran to her house after hearing the alarm in the early hours of Wednesday.
He said he was "horrified" to see the 51-year-old lying dead and Mr Busby badly injured.
The neighbour, who did not want to be identified, said Mr Busby told him that a man came to their door and pushed his way into the house before attacking them.
The neighbour said it was "too late to do anything for Isabelle" but Mr Busby was able to tell him what had happened.
The intruder had already fled the scene by the time the neighbour arrived.
He said Mr Busby and Ms Sanders were "a lovely couple" who were "great neighbours" and he could not believe this had happened in an area where you could "hear a pin drop".
Police have previously described the suspect as white, Scottish, with a local accent, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in tall with a slim build and short dark hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing jeans, a light blue top and blue canvas deck shoes.
