In a statement. Peter Child, Managing Director at A&P Falmouth, said: "Just after 10am today an incident occurred in the steel stock area at A&P Falmouth, where part of a steel rack collapsed. It resulted in serious injuries to two employees.
"Cornwall Air Ambulance, a land ambulance and fire crews from Falmouth Fire Station attended. Both injured members of staff have been taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske. The thoughts of everyone at A&P Falmouth are with them."
The company said it would be conducting a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
