Four teenagers have been killed and another seriously injured in a collision between two cars in South Yorkshire. | |
Police say three males and a female in a Toyota died of their injuries while a fifth female who was in the car is critical in hospital. | |
The Toyota and a Seat were in collision at about 21:40 GMT on Saturday on the A630 in Conisbrough, near Doncaster. | |
A man, 21, believed to be driving a third vehicle, was later arrested. | |
He was taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and subsequently bailed. | |
Police said formal identification has not yet taken place but the five people in the Toyota were teenagers aged between 16 and 18 and from the Doncaster area. | |
The driver of the Seat suffered a broken leg in the crash. | |
The road has now been reopened by officers who have appealed for anyone with information to contact South Yorkshire Police. | |
