Three people have died and three others injured in a collision between two cars in South Yorkshire. Four teenagers have been killed and another seriously injured in a collision between two cars in South Yorkshire.
A Toyota and a Seat were involved in a collision at about 21:40 GMT on the A630 in Conisbrough, near Doncaster. Police say three males and a female in a Toyota died of their injuries while a fifth female who was in the car is critical in hospital.
Police say two men and a woman in the Toyota were killed, while another man and woman inside the same car have life-threatening injuries. The Toyota and a Seat were in collision at about 21:40 GMT on Saturday on the A630 in Conisbrough, near Doncaster.
The driver of the Seat also has serious injuries. The road remains closed while police investigate. A man, 21, believed to be driving a third vehicle, was later arrested.
He was taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and subsequently bailed.
Police said formal identification has not yet taken place but the five people in the Toyota were teenagers aged between 16 and 18 and from the Doncaster area.
The driver of the Seat suffered a broken leg in the crash.
The road has now been reopened by officers who have appealed for anyone with information to contact South Yorkshire Police.
