Armed police were called to the office of the Swansea MP Sian James in the city following an incident with a constituent. | |
South Wales Police said officers were called to the Brynhyfryd area of Swansea at around 11:20 GMT. | |
BBC Wales reporter David Grundy, who was at the scene, said the office had been locked up. | |
Ms James was not at the building at the time and a spokesman for her office said nobody had been hurt. | |
He said: "There was an incident this morning involving a constituent which necessitated calls to the police. | |
"They responded with armed patrols and staff were sent home." | |
Three armed response cars were called to the office, along with a police patrol car, which was managing traffic, but police had now left the area. |
