A man in his 20s has died following a fire at a house in Ballyclare, County Antrim.A man in his 20s has died following a fire at a house in Ballyclare, County Antrim.

Police said the man was taken from the house by fire officers but died in hospital a short time later. It is understood the man had already been pulled from the building by a passer-by, however he died in hospital a short time later.
They said a post mortem examination is due to take place but at this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious. Police say the death is not believed to be suspicious. The other man remains in hospital following the incident.
The Fire and Rescue Service said that another man remains in hospital following the incident. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service Area Commander Colin Dickson said it was a courageous act to enter the house.
"The person did put himself in serious risk and should be commended for his bravery," he said.
"He was able to assist the person from the house on fire.
"Unfortunately that man tragically died later and the young gentleman who performed the rescue ended up in hospital himself."
