A major river rescue has been launched in Carmarthen. A major river search has been launched in Carmarthen after a person fell into the water.
A large number of police, firefighters, a coastguard rescue team and the Burry Port inshore lifeboat are at the scene near a pumping station on the River Towy. Dyfed-Powys Police said it is co-ordinating the search and said officers were called just before 16:00 GMT.
The force said it could not comment further as the operation is ongoing.
