A major river search will continue today for an 11-year-old boy who fell into the River Towy. A major river search is under way in Carmarthen after an 11-year-old boy fell into the water.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the alarm was raised just before 16:00 GMT on Tuesday. Police, firefighters, a coastguard rescue team, the Ferryside inshore lifeboat crew and an RAF Sea King rescue helicopter are at the scene at the River Towy in the Tanerdy area.

The search, centred near Glangwili Hospital, was stopped overnight but will resume on Wednesday morning. The lifeboat crew is patrolling the riverbank on foot after returning the boat to shore.
Police officers said specially trained officers are supporting the boy's family. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it deployed two boats and three fire appliances to help the rescue efforts.
