He has since bragged that “Crooked Hillary Clinton got Brexit wrong” and praised the vote as a decision by British voters to “take back control of their economy, politics and borders” in a major speech on trade policy Tuesday afternoon. He has even insisted he “stood with the people on the referendum while his Democratic rival “as always stood with the elites”.
