Armed police officers have been called to a siege in the Springburn area of Glasgow. Four people have been detained and are in police custody in connection with an incident in Glasgow.
The alarm was raised at about 0745 GMT, when an injured man was found in Balgrayhill Road. Armed officers were called to Balgrayhill Road in the Springburn area at about 0745 GMT.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the man had suffered head wounds and stab injuries, and was taken to hospital. Eyewitnesses said police cordoned off part of Balgrayhill Road and surrounded a flat in the street.
