Man quizzed after body discovery Murder inquiry after OAP's death

A 19-year-old man is being questioned by police in Cardiff after the discovery of an elderly man's body in the city. A 19-year-old man is being questioned by detectives in Cardiff following the murder of a man aged 76.
Detectives said the death was being treated as a suspected murder. Detectives said it appeared Leonard Baldwin, from the city, was assaulted at around 1830 BST on Saturday in Neville Street in Riverside.
The man's body was found at Neville Street in the Riverside area of the city at around 1830 BST on Saturday. Mr Baldwin was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with a serious head injury where he later died.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them. The arrested man is being questioned at Fairwater police station. Officers said the man under arrest on suspicion of murder is currently being questioned at Fairwater police station.
An incident room has also been set up at Fairwater and officers have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the Riverside area.

Det Supt Paul Kemp, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are currently investigating this incident as a murder inquiry, have a man in custody being questioned in connection with the death, and we are carrying out house-to-house enquiries with those in the Neville Street area.
"As part of this we are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact us, " said Det Supt Kemp.
"Our thoughts are with Leonard's family, and a family liaison officer is supporting them at this tragic time."
The detective appealed for anyone who was in the Neville Street area between the time of 1700 BST and 1830 BST on Saturday, and with information about the incident to call them on 02920 571530, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
