The car left the road at Eastgate and mounted the pavement, colliding with a building at the bottom of Water Street and into the path of Ms Bloomer and her son. | |
They are appealing for anyone who saw the car before the crash to get in touch. | |
Sgt Pete Sculpher, from Accrington Road Policing Unit, said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts go out to both families involved. | |
