A baby's body has been found at an Islamic centre in Staffordshire, police said. A newborn boy has been found left at an Islamic centre in Staffordshire, police said.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said the surrounding roads had been cordoned off while officers conducted a search of the area. Earlier Staffordshire Police said a body had been found however it is now believed the baby boy is receiving treatment at a hospital in Stafford.
The Islamic Centre is in a converted house which was formerly a Methodist Sunday School. The area has been cordoned off while officers search the area.
