Gordon Brown is seeking some home comforts this evening. He is about to address supporters in his home town of Kirkcaldy in Fife, where he ought to be guaranteed a warm reception. This from our political correspondent Iain Watson, who is in Kirkcaldy. Mr Brown is expected to use his speech to attack the Conservatives' economic policy, suggesting that David Cameron and George Osborne are split over whether services have to be cut to pay for their policy on National Insurance.
